Something to discuss

I know its not about a local gig or how ace some gay band are...nothing REALLY important like that...just about that limited skirmish in the middle East....

The whole "should we,shouldnt we?" argument is dead,we have and there is no turning back..concentrate on protesting or whatever on issues that WILL affect us afterwards...the war wont stop until one side has won,which from the looks of things will be very soon.

The issues that we should be addressing are the governments proposed "ruling" of Iraq after the war....that IS wrong..it should be a UN appointed administration...not a US/UK one.Our relations with the United nations are now very,very strained and its time to work towards getting their backing again,which is the ONLY way to world peace,to actually become..the UNITED nations.That and teh American public need to vote out Bush as soon as possible....anyone who uses the phrase "this is gods will" should not be president...fundementalist christians are fucking scary people,with very wierd ideas and are not fit for positions of power.


I watched a statement by the Iraqi ammbassador earlier condeming the US attacks,claiming that they have complied with 441,and have fully co-operated with weapons inspectors,and have disarmed.....I thought,THATS why we are at war,Iraq has fat john for an ambassador!If they had disarmed,what the fuck were they shooting with?what the fuck were those scud missiles they fired?Thats not disarmament...(although I do believe some weaponry is allowed..not scuds though).

All the Tony Blair slaggings.....thats just stupid...the guy faced a catch 22 situation.....join with the US and alienate a percentage of the population,plus earn the disapproval of many other nations.Or oppose the US and lose what may be the most valuable ally in the world,but at the same time removing at least one major threat to our way of life.Since becoming PM,Tony Blair has shown strength and an amiability that no other pm whilst I have been alive has had,after all,he didnt buckle on the fire strikes,and offered an increase..the doors to comprimise were opened.I'll be surprised if the guy is sleeping at night...its a lot of responsibility for one man to burden.

Of course,my opinions are based on the "information" that we are all given,ad after all...we all know at times like these,propaganda rules and we could all be misinformed,ask yourslef this...was that Helicopter badly piloted?Or shot down in the name of Saddam???

Time will tell....although I will probably be 77 before we have the right to know.

I totallay agree with that, they tell us the information, but for all we know it could be wrong, but it's all we get to find out, so all we can do is beleive it i suppose, well to some extent.

Yer the guy IS actually doing what he thinks is best for the country, and im sure he didn't just decide it over a cup of coffee. He will have a hell of a lot of stress on his mind, and will be doing his best for us. I didn't perticually like him at first when be became prime minister, butim still behind him on the war though as it is the best option.
